The Worst Children’s Book Ever

I really hope it doesn’t get much worse than this: There’s a new diet book for kids.  It’s called “Maggie Goes on a Diet”.  The book, aimed at 6 to 12-year-old girls, is the story of Maggie, who “is transformed from being overweight and insecure to a normal-sized teen who becomes the school soccer star”.  My heavens. Just wrong on so many levels.

Our 42nd president, famous for his love of McDonald’s burgers and fries, has gone vegan.  Talk about a flip-flop…

The King is Dead.  In an effort to be more healthy, or at least be perceived that way, Burger King is dropping is creepy looking king mascot.  The new mascot?  Fresh ingredients.

A war of words erupted this week between my favorite chef/author Anthony Bourdain and southern chef Paula Deen.  As he’s been known to do, Chef Bourdain started it.  Paula Deen’s response.

There’s so much news coming out about Vitamin D it’s hard to keep up. Thankfully, Doug at Wellness Nutrition does it for me.
