The End of the Twinkie?

Could the junk food icon Twinkie be no more?  Hostess, the maker of the cream-filled, spongy yellow cake things, has filed for bankruptcy.  If they go under, will the Twinkie disappear?  I’d think not.  Someone will buy the rights.  The Twinkie will likely live on.  Ho-Hos, on the other hand…

She seems like a sweet lady and a helluva cook, but judging by the food pics on the covers of her magazine it shouldn’t be much of surprise Paula Deen announced she’s developed type-2 diabetes.  Hey, she never claimed to be making health food.

The Washington Post’s Ezra Klein shares new studies stating the case for cheaper wine.  This is the kind of work I should be doing.

A pair of professional snowboarders have started a “Drink Water” campaign to promote H2O over sports drinks.  No word yet on their stance on Twinkie’s potential demise.

Would dinosaur meat taste like chicken?  I’m impossibly intrigued…
