Drinking More Beer Increases Likelihood of Getting Drunk

Indeed.  More beer also increases the chances of eating 20 chicken wings, dropping your cell phone in the toilet, and calling your girlfriend a slut.

Moving on…

I’m always amused when a new study comes out touting results that seem, well, obvious.  To wit:

Eating more blueberries, apples and pears may be linked to lower risk of diabetes, according to a new U.S. study.

So, if I regularly eat whole foods, created in nature, without added fillers or sugar, I’m less likely to develop diabetes?  Truly monumental.

I apologize.  I’m not trying to make light of the researchers work.  It just strikes me as odd when a study of this type hits the news wire.  It seems we’re constantly bombarded with studies missing the forest for the trees.

Blueberries, apples, and pears are not miracle foods.  They’re just unprocessed foods.  Eating more unprocessed foods lessens your risk of developing diabetes. No more studies needed.
